March 2010: ReFaC, the REACH Facilitation Company Ltd. is pleased to welcome Chris Geering. Chris joins ReFaC from BASF (Biocides) where he gained extensive experience delivering global regulatory support across Europe, North America and Canada.
Chris spent 5 years in New Zealand as a regulatory toxicologist for the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA), the government agency regulating hazardous substances, evaluating data packages and identifying data gaps for hazardous substances.
With experience in the classification of hazardous substances under the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS); and the application of quantitative risk assessment models and determining suitable controls to manage risks to human health and the environment - Chris's experience will be significant in advising REACH clients, identifying data needs, preparing and submitting registration dossiers.
ReFaC has strengthened its team as the first REACH registration deadline of 1st December 2010 approaches, to service the growing needs of its global client base through each stage of the REACH registration process.
